Step by Step Instructions to make Gluten Free Apple Crisp Recipe
1). Set the oven to 350 °F. A 13 x 9-inch baking dish should be greased and placed aside.
2). Make sure the pan is properly greased before using to get outstanding results.
Let’s make Crisp Topping First
1). The flour, xanthan gum, oats, sugar, cinnamon, optional nutmeg, and salt should all be combined in a medium-sized bowl with the flour. Brown sugar should now be added. Remix the mixture to remove any lumps.
2). Add the melted butter, then thoroughly blend. It will be a thick mixture. If at all loose or heated, chill only temporarily. The topping should be set aside for the next steps.
Let’s make Apple Filling Now
1). Put the flour, cinnamon, salt, and brown sugar in a large bowl and stir to thoroughly incorporate, breaking up any lumps in the brown sugar. When the apples are added, mix them thoroughly to coat them.
2). After transferring the mixture to the prepared baking dish, stir in the vanilla essence and 1/4 cup of lukewarm water once more. The apple pieces should be evenly distributed.
3). To start softening the apples, set the baking dish on a rimmed baking sheet, cover it with aluminum foil, and bake it. After 15 minutes of baking, uncover the pan and mix the apples. Recover the cover, put the pan back in the oven, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
4). Place the baking dish on a heat-resistant surface after removing it from the oven. After removing the foil, give the apples another stir before spreading them out evenly.
5). Spread the crisp topping evenly over the apples, breaking up any larger clumps, and gently push down to help it stick.
6). Place the dish back in the oven and bake until the topping is golden brown, uncovered (about 25 minutes). Take out of the oven, let cool for 15 minutes, then serve warm with the optional vanilla ice cream on top.
7). Additional leftovers can be kept for up to three days, at room temperature.
8). Additionally, it may be kept in an airtight container for three days. For up to three months, the apple crisp can be frozen.
